Mais Energia Supergrasbras

At SHV Gas Brazil, we really feel it is our duty to contribute to the development and welfare of the society besides the continuous enhancements made to the excellent quality of our services.
One of our projects, Mais Energia Supergasbra reflects the cornerstones of our company culture at SHV Gas Brazil. This project consists of nutritional education classes provided to residents of low-income neighborhoods to give them the opportunity to buy, store and make proper use of food thus avoiding waste.
People who attend the course learn nutritious recipes which can contribute enormously to their families’ health if put to practice in the home. Our project, Mais Energia is also offered to mothers of missing children from Rio de Janeiro who are assisted by SOS Criança Desaparecida (SOS Missing Child), a program developed by FIA (Fundação para a Infância e Adolescência — Foundation for Childhood and Adolescence). Besides helping these women regain social life, this initiative provides them with psychological counseling and ways to improve self-esteem and motivation.
Our gas cylinders are important tools in the campaign Segurança começa pela prevenção (Safety starts with prevention), which also raises support to families linked to FIA. This effort consists of printing the pictures of missing children from the State of Rio de Janeiro on the safety labels of Supergasbras’ gas cylinders. Our goal is to assist all the mothers of the Program SOS Missing Child and help them recover their children.
This project’s development is supported by the government of the State of Rio de Janeiro and by the State Office for Social Assistance and Human Rights. More than 1 million pictures will be spread throughout the State. The greatest reward for this work is the possibility to find a missing child.
