SHV Gas Brasil and Kosan Crisplant promote visit to the world’s biggest and most modern filling plant
Rio de Janeiro will have the world’s biggest and most modern LP Gas filling plant. SHV Gas Brasil is responsible for that achievement. The company owns both Supergasbras and Minasgás brands and its "Duque de Caxias" Unit will get a pioneer, state-of-the-art cylinder filling system, Flex Speed, produced by the Danish company Kosan Crisplant. The launch will take place during the 22nd edition of the World LP Gas Forum.
SHV Gas Brasil and Kosan Crisplant invite all World LP Gas Forum attendees to take a close look at the new equipment and at the "Duque de Caxias Unit", which will become a worldwide model for the LP Gas industry. Flex Speed comprises of 60 filling scales and produces 4 thousand P-13 cylinders per hour, double than the other equipment in operation at the moment. The filling plant will operate with more than two electronic carrousels which, together with the new system, will achieve the total capacity of 8 thousand cylinders per hour. Thus the filling plant production will increase from 1 million to 1.5 million cylinders per month.
Daily visits to the new SHV Gas Brasil unit will be organized on October 7, 8, and 9, with setouts in the morning and afternoon from the Forum in Barra da Tijuca straight to "Duque de Caxias". This is a unique chance for the field reps to get to know how SHV GAS, world leader in LP Gas distribution operating also in Brazil.
Besides the gain in productivity, the new filling system will guarantee an increase in the process efficiency and foster a continuous improvement in the standard of the services rendered to clients. Flex Speed also relies on electronic test of cylinder and valve tightness, which offers more safety in the operation and in the use of the cylinder. With that investment, "Duque de Caxias" unit will be consolidated as the world’s biggest and most modern filing plant.
